Character Building
Stop playing yourself in a different shirt.
For actors with some experience. Three sessions on constructing a person from physicality, want, history and behaviour, rather than from a vibe.

The most common note in Indian theatre auditions is that the actor is playing themselves with an accent.
This workshop is the technical answer: how a character walks and why, what they want in the scene versus what they want in life, the history that never appears in the text, and the specific behavioural choices that make a person recognisable in four seconds.
Some prior acting experience assumed. If you've done our Fundamentals, you're ready.
How it works
- 01
Three sessions
Sunday afternoons, 3 hours each.
- 02
You build one character
Across all three sessions. Documented, not improvised.
- 03
Physicality first
Session one is entirely body. Text comes last on purpose.
- 04
Prior experience assumed
Not a beginner workshop. Start with Fundamentals.
What you'll cover
Session 1. Physicality. Centre of gravity, gait, tension, and what the body already tells us.
Session 2. Want. Objective in the scene versus objective in the life. Obstacle and tactic.
Session 3. History and behaviour. The biography nobody sees, and the four seconds that reveal it.
